Summer Begins!

Schools out and the girls headed straight to the pool.

6th Grade Graduation

For the past thirteen years, I have had one or more children in Benchmark Elementary School. It is an amazing school with wonderful teachers and I have loved every year that we were there. On Monday, Kianna graduated and it will feel so strange not to go there next year.
Kianna was excited as she headed off to school that morning.
The students marched in in alphabetical order.
They read their perdition for the their future. (Kianna predicts that she will be a writer or lawyer), received their diploma, and sang a few songs.
After they had a reception and everyone took pictures.

 The two amazing principals
Kianna's friend Sara and one of her teachers.
Some of her friends from the past nine years.
 The class of 2017!

The kids stayed at school and ate lunch. Then their teachers rented a theater at an AMC close by and they saw "Guardians of the Galaxy".  When Kianna got home we went out to dinner to celebrate.
 Her ice cream cake
She at a monkey in a graduation cap and gown. I am so proud of her.

I can't believe I have a Junior and a 7th grader!

Mother's Day 2017

Mother's Day was a fun, relaxing day. Caeli tried a new recipe and made spring rolls that were delicious.
We spent the afternoon in the pool. The weather has been beautiful.

The girls had so much fun.
We had a BBQ for dinner and Kianna made a cupcake bouquet!

Kianna's Concerts

Kianna's school held their spring concert. Kianna is in Show Choir and performed six numbers
One was a medley from Annie They all dressed as orphans.
The last to perform was the 6th grade. It was bittersweet as they graduate the middle of May.

Kianna has the most amazing chorus teacher. She belongs to a musical group called North Valley Chorale. They invited the show choir to join them at their show at the Herberger Theater.

This was taken backstage before they performed.
This is an amazing group of kids.

They had a wonderful time and all returned safe and exhausted.

Caeli and I attended the end of the year banquet for Spiritline. It was held at Aunt Chiladas Restaurant. The girls received their letter and Caeli was presented with a pin for Rookie of the year.

Our schools were closed for a week in the middle of March this year. We all enjoyed the break from school. Kianna were rollerskating with her friend Sophia.
