Christmas 2013

We celebrated Christmas Eve at home.
Mariah's boyfriend Robby joined us for dinner.
Dinner was delicious. Desert included cheesecake and ice cream cake.
We always open stockings on Christmas Eve. The girls all got coal in their stocking!
The girls went our front and sprinkled (threw) raindeer food, so Santa will find their home.

Santa left lots of goodies under our tree.
 My girls!
 Mariah got lots of clothes
The girls all got make-up cases for dance.
Kianna loves Paris and was thrilled with her earring tree and jewelry stand.
We all got lots of wonderful gifts!
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Company Lock-in

The dance studio held their annual lock-in last weekend. The girls arrived at 6 p. m. and started with dinner.
There were bounce houses, they made tee-shirts, flubber, played games and had so much fun!
There was also a white elephant gift exchange. The girls did not get much sleep but had an amazing time. After rehearsing they were picked up at 11 a.m.

Holiday Show

Kianna's school had their second annual Christmas show on Wednesday evening. Each grade sang Christmas and Hanukkah songs.
The entire school worked hard getting ready for the show.
The 3rd grade performed in the middle of the show. They sang Deck The Halls, Song for Hanukkah, and a Santa Medley.
I was so proud of Kianna and all her friends. They sang beautifully and we all had a wonderful evening.

Christmas Through The Years

 1998
I first met Mariah in early December. She was almost three months old. Jodi had been invited to a Santa party at her friend Carol's house. She invited us to join her at the party and Mariah got to visit with Santa for the first time. She absolutely hated the fancy dress that we had bought for her to wear.
 1999
We had our first Santa Party at our house. Mariah had no idea what was going on, but loved all the attention.

 2000
Mariah was 2 years old and was so excited about Santa coming.
2001
Mariah was 3 years old and I had just received Caeli's match from China and was getting ready to travel. We were all excited that there would be two little girls in our family in a month.
2002
Caeline Xi Ru joined our family in January. She added so much joy to our family. We loved celebrating her first Christmas, but she was not very happy to see Santa.
2003
The girls were 5 and almost 3. They were so excited about everything that holiday season and loved seeing Santa.
2004
Mariah was 6 and in Kindergarten, Caeli was almost 4 and loved pre-school.
2005
Mariah (7) and Caeli (almost 5)
2006
Kianna joined our family in October and was not at all sure what Santa was about. The girls were 8 (Mariah), almost 6 (Caeli), and 2 (Kianna).
2007
Mariah (9), Caeli (almost 7) and Kianna (3)
2008
The girls were 10, almost 8 and 4. They all attended Benchmark and loved school and dance.
 2009
Another year and they are getting older.
 2010
Kianna entered Kindergarten, Caeli in 4th grade and Mariah in 6th.
 2011
Mariah (13) entered Middle School, Caeli (almost 11) and Kianna (7)
 2012
We moved into our house in January. Mariah is 14, Caeli is almost 12, and Kianna turned 8.
2013
I can not believe how big my girls are. Mariah is 15, a freshman in High School and on the Spirit Line. Caeli is almost 13 and started Middle School, and Kianna is 9 and in 3rd grade.

We hope that you and your family have a wonderful holiday season!

Our 15th annual Santa Party

Saturday evening was annual Santa party. We had our first party the year that Mariah was one and it has become a yearly event that we look forward to. The girl love to dress up and invite their friends.
The girls are a big help. They arrange the food and set up the tables. We serve appetizers and desserts.
The guests arrive and we visit and enjoy the food. This year there were 40 adults and 32 children. The kids all gather in the living room and are so excited when Santa walks in with his bag of gifts.
Mariah had a pom competition in the afternoon. She stayed to perform her two numbers and left before awards. She got ready and arrived in time to see Santa.
 Caeli and Santa
Kianna was so excited that Santa brought her the Lego set that she has been waiting for.
Caeli with some of her friends.
(Samantha, Kayla and Leilani)
Kianna and Vincent have been taking a picture together for years.
Mariah's boyfriend Robby joined us for our picture this year. We had an amazing evening. What a wonderful way to start the holiday season!

Thanksgiving 2013

Our holiday party is a week earlier than usual this year, so the house was decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving! That is a first for me. The girls all had fun helping with dinner. They baked the apple pie and made cookies.
Kiki and I have been friends for a long time. We met at work, long before the girls were born. I was so happy that she could join us for Thanksgiving dinner. One of Kianna's nick-names is Kiki and big Kiki and little Kiki had a wonderful time together.
Dinner was delicious and we all had a delightful time.
Kianna has missed Snowflake, her Elf on the Shelf. She was so surprised to look up during dinner and find her in the light over the dining room table. Every night she leaves Snowflake by the fireplace so that she can report to Santa. In the morning Kianna jumps up and searches for her elf.

2013 Phoenix Walk to End Alzheimer's

The company that I work for forms a team and walks in the Alzheimer's Walk each year. Pam, Caeli and Kianna joined me this year. We all met at Wesley Bolin Plaza and walked 3 miles through downtown Phoenix. They had flowers that you could write messages on, and the girls wrote messages to Mom/Nana.

Happy Halloween

We all met at the house after school and work. We had dinner and the girls got into their costumes. Kianna created a costume for Chee Chee from Teen Beach Movie.
It was the coolest Halloween we have had since moving to Phoenix. It felt wonderful! Caeli had planned to wear her skimpy zebra costume from dance, however she decided to go for a warmer costume and switched to footed pajamas.
Mariah wore this costume to a party this weekend. She had fun walking around with her sisters.
Happy Halloween!
