A LONG, HARD WEEK... The last week was so long. Keith flew in for our mother's funeral. The girls were wonderful, but so sad. They attended the viewing on Thursday evening. People were so kind. There were so many beautiful flowers. The Mass of the Resurrection was held on Friday morning and followed by burial at the National Cemetery. It was a long day and so hard to say good-bye.

Keith stayed for the weekend and the girls loved having their uncle here.

He left this morning and no one wanted him to leave.

We took a lot of pictures last night.

The girls love their uncle Keith!

RITA - August 5, 1921 - March 12, 2012... My mother passed away Monday morning. She had suffered with Alzheimer's for 15 years and steadily gotten worse. She had lived in a care facility for the past 5 1/2 years. She is at peace now and we are all happy for that. She lived a long wonderful life and loved her husband, four children and grandchildren. We loved her so much and she will be missed by all of us.
SCHOOL CARNIVAL... The girl's school held their annual school carnival on Saturday, March 10th. Caeli and Kianna had so much fun. Kianna had been sick with strep throat, but was able to go to the carnival.
Kianna had fun playing games.
So did Caeli!
Kianna thought the petting zoo was fun.
Caeli played games with friends.Kianna's favorite thing was the Magic Show. She liked the part when he juggled fire. I gave her my camera and she took 232 pictures of the magician.
Caeli entered the hula hoop contest.
Caeli loved riding the horse.
They had a great time at the carnival!

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A FEW HOURS MAKES.... We were freezing at the garage sale this morning and by afternoon the sun was out and we got sunburns. You've got to love Phoenix weather.

The girls have been begging to try out the pool since we moved in. Today they were happy to put on swim suits and lay in the sun.

and go into the pool. They said the water was cold.

They loved having a swimming pool. I know they will use it a lot this summer!
GARAGE SALE... We will be closing soon on the sale of our Mohawk home. We have moved everything we want to the new house and we decided that it was time to have a garage sale and sell all the items we no longer needed. The girls were wonderful. We were up early on Saturday and Sunday morning. They helped set up and sell items.

They even helped neighbors carry home their purchases.

It was freezing cold in the mornings when we started.

Caeli really got into helping customers.

Kianna found a fun way to move things.

On Sunday we loaded all unsold items and donated them to Goodwill. The sale was a huge success and we are all glad that it is over!
