Saturday evening was our annual Christmas party. (Can not believe that this is the 14th, Mariah was one when we had the first.) The girls helped decorate and make food.
 They have gotten so big.
They attended a dress rehearsal for dance and then got dressed.
The guests started arriving at 6:45 and Santa walked in at 7:30.
He had a bag full of presents and every child was happy to have their name called out.
Mariah and Caeli loved the gift cards they received.
Vylet was the smallest guest at two months.
After the children received their presents, Santa posed for family pictures.Deslie has danced with Kianna for years.

Look Who Arrived At Our House

Kianna was so excited to wake up Monday morning and discover that Santa had sent an elf to her house. The elf was hanging from the light in the kitchen. The girls read the book on the way to school and Kianna named her Snowflake.

Every morning Kianna is excited to look for Snowflake. She has found her playing in the Christmas Tree, making hot chocolate, and trying to hide in her backpack. Kianna thinks this is fantastic and she is having so much fun with her elf.

Update... Kianna's favorite morning was when the elf had a snowball fight and left marchmellows all over the place. She also brought her  a gingerbread cookie.

Holiday Show

Last Thursday the girls school held a holiday show. The students were told to wear black., white and/or red. It was held outside and they served hot chocolate and cookies.
The 2nd graders performed Apple on a Stick, There's Someone in the Chimney, and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. The last group to perform was 5th and 6th grade. They played Good-Bye Summer on their recorders, and sang Rocking Around The Christmas Tree and One Nation.
Everyone had a wonderful time and the children were all so talented.

Thanksgiving 2012

We have a lot to be thankful for this year. Pam developed an infection in her finger and was admitted to the hospital last week. They opereated the next day. She is still recovering from a staff infection.
The girls were a huge help this year. They love to cook.
They set the table and made the apple pie.
 Dinner was delicious.
We had a relaxing, delicious Thanksgiving.
It ended with the annual Thanksgiving Santa Beards!

Manhatten Dance Project

The dance company attended a workshop on November 10th and 11th. Kianna was so excited heading off to dance. The girls had classes for two days.
They took classes in ballet, tap, lyrical, modern, musical theater and jazz.

Kianna's first class was ballet. After she headed in to change and someone shut the door on her finger. We headed to Urgent Care. She lost the nail and scraped the bone. She had to wear a splint for 5 days.
On Sunday she went back and danced. The girls loved the classes and learned so much.

Halloween 2012

The girls all enjoyed Halloween. This year they created their own costumes. Caeli was a devil and used pieces of dance costumes.
She is loving life with her contacts.
Kianna loves anything to do with surfing. She watches movies, reads books about surfers, and reads about it on the internet. She designed and painted her surf board.
Vicki, Bryan, and Mariah joined us for dinner. Brittany and Kevin had their second daughter on October 8th. Mariah loves her niece, Vylet Dawn and is so happy holding her.

The girls ready to go Trick-or-treating.
Lylie and Kianna are good friends and love spending time together.
When they got back, the little ones couldn't wait to check out their candy, Caeli was happy to hold the baby.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Six Years Ago Today

Six years ago today, I was in China waiting to meet my third daughter, I look up and the nannies walked in with a scared little girl. She did not want to go to me and was so upset.
I was so happy that I decided to bring Mariah (then 8) and Caeli (then 5 1/2) on the trip with me. They adored Kianna from the minute they saw her and she loved playing with them from the first day.
Our time in China gave us time to bond and become a family. I dressed the girls in matching clothes for most of the trip (easy to keep track of all of them) and Kianna loved looking like her sisters

Over the years Kianna has grown into a sweet, kind, loveable, energetic, strong willed,  helpful girl. She is my goof ball and I love her so much.

I am so glad she is part of our family

Mariah's Birthday Party

We celebrated Mariah's 14th birthday this weekend.
She invited a few friends to come over. She created a candy bar and everyone fixed bags of candy.
Then we headed to a local drive in. The girls sat outside in chairs and watched "The House At The End Of The Street". Jodi went to another theater and saw "Hotel Translyvania" with Caeli and Kianna. The girls all enjoyed the movies.
We then went back to our house and ordered pizza. The girls went in the pool and swam.
Mariah did not want a cake and asked for a giant chocolate chip cookie.
Caeli and Kianna spent the night at their aunt's house, while Mariah had a sleepover at our house.
Happy Birthday Mariah!
