I started this blog in 2006 while waiting to travel to China and complete my family. This journal continues to share with family and friends the joys and fun of being a family and raising my daughters.

KIANNA'S BIRTHDAY PARTY... Last night Kianna invited her friends to join her at Jambo, an indoor amusement park, for her 7th birthday party.
The kids arrived at 5:30 and quickly ran off to play and go on rides.
The swings were a huge hit.
and so was the train.
They have the cutest party rooms with animal themes.
At 6:15 they returned to the room for pizza.
Aunt Pam made an amazing cake for Kianna.
After cake the kids played laser tag and miniature golf.
Everyone had a great time from the oldest (Mariah) to the youngest (Abby).
IT'S SCHOOL TIME AGAIN.... The summer seems to fly by faster each year. I can't believe that it is time for another school year to start.
Kianna is so excited to start 1st grade. She is lucky enough to have the teachers that Caeli had.
Caeli entered 5th grade today. This was the first time that Mariah was not at the school with the girls. They were so excited when they got dressed this morning. They each had new backpacks and lunch bags.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIANNA...I can't believe that Kianna is seven years old. She has grown up so much in the last year. She is sweet, happy, determined, energetic, deep thinker, strong willed, and loving. She loves to sing, dance and TALK. Her giggles are contagious and she laughs easily. She is a joy to be around and makes every day more fun.
NINETY YEARS AGO... a wonderful person was born. Carlton and Anna LeBoeuf became parents of a daughter on August 5, 1921. They named her Ryta Alice. She was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. She moved many times in her childhood and finally settled in Bronx, NY.
Ryta was a very happy girl and loved her family and friends.
She was very close to her younger sister, Betty.
Betty, Carlton, Anna and Ryta in the 40's.
Ryta and Betty as young women.
Ryta met Jack when she was 13 years old and they dated on and off for years.
Jack served in the Air Force during World War II. He returned to the United Stated in December 1945 and they became engaged on December 14, 1946.
Ryta and Jack were married on April 19, 1947
(Her parents 27th wedding anniversary)
Jerry (Jack's brother), Charles (Jack's Dad), Johanna (Jack's mom) Father Brennan, Anna (Ryta's mom), Carlton (Rita's dad)
They lived in New York City and Syosset, New York. In 1977 they moved to Arizona and loved the southwest.
In 1997 Ryta and Jack celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. A few months later Ryta was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Jack passed away in October 1999. Rita continued to live at their home. She enjoyed the addition of her granddaughters to the family and loved having the girls around. In November 2006 she moved to a care facility.
Betty and two of her daughters (Laurie and Beth) visited in 2007.
Alzheimer's is such a sad disease, it has been difficult to watch such an amazing woman decline over the years.
