MEMORIAL DAY 2011... The weather has been beautiful. We spent Saturday at the water park and the girls had so much fun. Sunday was cooler and after dinner we went back to the water park to see fireworks.

It was very windy and the girls were shivering after they got out of the water. Kianna built a little fort with a raft to keep the wind out.

Caeli snuggled with Mom to stay warm.

Kianna can be so silly, she was hiding under her towel and peaked out.

The kids behind us were making a fort out of 20 rafts.

The wind was strong and the fireworks show was delayed. Finally they started and Kianna watched from her seat. The show was beautiful and the girls loved it!

Happy Memorial Day!

KINDERGARTEN GOES OUT WITH A SPLASH... Kianna's kindergarten teachers know how to have fun. They did the most amazing program all year. The last week was no exception. The end of the year party was a water fun day.

The sixty students were divided into groups and rotated activities. One of their favorites was the water slide.

Kianna had so much fun!

They got to play with water balloons. Notice the 4th grader watching.

They played a form of Duck, Duck, Goose. Instead of tapping the person on the head, they dumped a cup of water on them.

They ended with a messy pudding party. The kids had chocolate pudding with (gummy) worms in it.
(Glad I didn't have to clean up)

Now it is summer and the kids are out of school.

I have a 7th, 5th, and 1st grader!

IT'S HARD TO SAY GOOD-BYE TO YESTERDAY... This morning my oldest daughter marched in with her class and received her elementary school diploma. Where did the time go?

I remember your first day of Kindergarten like it was yesterday. You were almost six years old and it was the day that Kianna was born (although we were unaware of it at that time). I was nervous to leave you alone at school, but knew that it would be good for you. For seven years I turned you over to the most wonderful, nurturing teachers that I have ever met.

Today you marched in as a confident young lady ready to face middle school and the world.

As you sang for your teachers, friends and guests, I was overcome with gratitude for all you have learned and the person you have become.

Mariah has wonderful friends and many wonderful memories as she leaves elementary school.

They had the sweetest ceremony. Each child was called us and read something that they had written.

They presented the Class of 2011.

I am so proud of my daughters and who they are becoming.

This is one of Mariah's Kindergarten teachers. It was the last year that she taught, as she took over as co-principal at the school.

Mariah has had the most wonderful teachers who have loved her and taught her so much over the years. These two wonderful women are her 6th grade teachers.

Mariah has had so many great kids at her school. Some of them she has known since Kindergarten. The saddest part is that they are going to many different middle schools.

Mariah, I am so proud of you and can't wait to see what is in store for you in middle school. I love you sweetie!

I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE... my baby is finishing Kindergarten. Kianna's class had a ceremony in her Kindergarten class. Look how much she has grown since the first day of school.

She wore one of her favorite dress and was so excited.

Mariah and Kianna waiting to go into class.

The children presented a show for their parents. Kianna loves to sing!

SUMMER FUN... One of our favorite things to do in the summer is go to a local shopping center, Desert Ridge. We spent part of the afternoon there. There are fountains that the children can play in.

We use to go all the time when Mariah and Caeli were little, but have not been there is a long time.

Kianna had so much fun.

She is a joy to watch, as she loves life.

THE MANY FACES OF KIANNA... While waiting for her sister to finish at a birthday party, Kianna was having fun making faces.

It really doesn't matter what face, she is always happy and having fun!

4TH GRADE TRIP... Last week Caeli's 4th grade class went on a trip to Bisbee & Kartchner Caverns. They left early Thursday morning and drove to the Caverns.
The first stop was at cabin's to drop off all their clothing, sleeping bags, etc. Then they went and toured the Kartchner Caverns. The kids loved exploring the Caverns. Caeli said it was beautiful, dark and had bugs.

The had "classroom" time and learned about the rocks and animals.

They went on a few hikes. These are all the girls in 4A.

The class.

Sweet girls

While at Bisbee they explored a cave. Caeli was most impressed with the bats that she saw. They came home on Friday night.

MARIAH... arrived home safely, Tuesday evening. She is exhausted, but had a great time. Here are some more pictures that were posted.

When I checked the computer Monday night there were more pictures. It looks like Mariah is having a wonderful time.
