POLAR EXPRESS... Sunday morning we headed north to Flagstaff. It was a beautiful fall day and the girls were so excited. We checked into Little America Hotel.
Kianna loves hotels and she was so excited to be here.
It was a cool, brisk day and the girls loved being outside. We had lunch and walked around.
The girls changed into their pajamas and we headed to Williams, Arizona.
The Polar Express is a train the is run by the Grand Canyon Railroad. Each night through the holiday season the train travels north.
It was so cold in Williams, The temperature was 38 degrees when we arrived.
Kianna had never been on a train and was so excited!
They stood on the station platform waiting for the train to arrive.
Finally it was our turn to board.
Waiting to leave the station.
The chefs come around and serve cookies.
Everyone gets hot chocolate to drink.
The conductor came around and greeted all the children.
They read the book The Polar Express.
When we reached the North Pole, Santa boarded the train and greeted all the kids.
All children who believe were given a giant bell to keep.
When we returned to Wiliams, the girls wrote letters to Santa and posed with Mrs Claus.
The depot was filled with lights and trees.
It was a wonderful way to start the holiday season. We spent the night in Flagstaff and headed home this morning.
KIDS ARTISTIC REVUE... On November 14th and 15th the dance company took part in a competition at KAR (Kids Artistic Revue). Saturday, all the groups performed their new numbers. Mariah does an interesting dance to Ring-around-the-rosie and other children's songs called Child's Play.
The girls wear crazy hair with baby doll dresses. They received a Top First Place trophy and were 9th place overall in their age division. Her modern dance is called Life Doesn't Frighten Me and also received a Top First Place trophy were in 8th place overall.

Caeline is in the Petite company. Her group did a jazz dance to Beat It. They received a Top First Place Trophy and were 8th place for their age division.

A group of dancers and their moms were to Chili's for lunch and to celebrate.
The girls were back early the next morning to do solos. Caeli's new Solo is Music Box. She received a First Place Trophy.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN... We started the day off visiting my mom at the care facility where she lives. They had an amazing magic show that the girls got to take part in. They loved it and everyone enjoyed seeing their costumes.
Kianna was a cheerleader.

We had pizza and the girls got ready.

FRIDAY EVENING... Aunt Pam helped the girls carve pumpkins. They had so much fun and cleaned them out.
Each of the girls selected the pattern she wanted on the front of her pumpkin.
Kianna selected Boo for her pumpkin.
Caeli chose a mummy's face.
