CAITI'S GRADUATION... Eighteen years ago my sister, Jodi started watching a sweet baby. Caiti quickly became part of our family and we watched her grow up. Last evening she graduated from High School. The girl were very good, the ceremony was long and they did go outside and take photos for a while. They loved seeing her get her diploma.

MEMORIAL DAY .... We went up to the National Cemetery where my dad is buried. It was so moving to see thousands of flags in row after row. I hope the girls understood what Memorial Day represents.

The care facility where my mom lives had a picnic. The girls always have fun when we attend the events. The ladies love to see all the children. Caeline loves to help and spent the entire time getting food for people and talking with them.

The girls were thrilled to get to hold flags for the Pledge of Allegiance. Kianna stood on a table at one end and Caeline was at the other end of the room. Caeline knew all the songs that they sang and many people joined in including my mom. It was so nice to see her smile and have fun.

WHAT A WEEK...School ended this week, with pajama day, wacky hair day, mixed-up day and many good-byes. Dance pictures were taken which meant long hours and many costume changes. Aunt Pam had knee replacement surgery on Monday and came home Thursday, and the weather was crazy. On Sunday we had our first day that the tempature reached 100 degrees. On Monday it was HOT! It reached 111 degrees. Then three days later it was freezing and only reached 62 degrees.
Mariah's brother, Brandon graduated Thursday night. Graduations here are held outside on the football field. It was raining, freezing and people huddled under blankets. THAT NEVER HAPPENS HERE. It is still only in the 70's and very cool. We attended a party for Brandon's graduation this afternoon. Kids played on the trampoline, swam and adults wore sweaters. This is a crazy month.
Kianna discovered the trampoline and jumped and jumped. She has so much fun. The girls played and didn't want to leave.

The girls danced over the next three crazy hours and then we waited for the awards ceremony. Hair Spray received High gold and What I Like About You received a Gold.. Take Off With Us received a High Gold and Safety Dance received Gold. Mariah did an fantastic job on her solo and When She Loved Me received a High Gold. She continues to amaze me with improvement every time she performs.

TEACHER ADVENTURE... A few weeks ago the girl's school held a fund raiser. The students could buy tickets (and the girls bought lots) and put them into different jars. Each jar represented a different grade or office / special teachers. At the BBQ, the school picked tickets out and matched each teacher with a child. Caeline was excited to win a "surprise date" with her Art teacher.

Thursday afternoon 3 trolleys pulled up to the school and took all the teachers and students on their adventure. They rode to Desert Ridge and went on a scavenger hunt. Each group went to different places and received many treats. They had dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. Caeline had so much fun and was excited when she climbed off the trolley at 7:15.

A BIRTHDAY PARTY.... The girls attended a birthday party on Sunday. their friends Caitlin and Cassidy turned 7 a couple of weeks ago. They had so much fun on the inflatable slides, rock climbing wall, and video games.
Kianna had no fears and tried everything.
Caeline climbed up and down the obstacle course and had a great time.

Mariah loved the rock climbing wall and games. After 1 1/2 hours they closed the play area and deflated the slides. Kianna was sad that they "were all gone"

The girls all adore Mike(Cassidy & Caitlin's Dad). He carries them all over and they love to be with him(well Kianna now that the other two are so big). They love every minute that they get to spend with him.

Pizza and cake were delicious and it was fun to see friends we haven't seen in a while.

MOTHER'S DAY TEA... The care facility where my mother lives has a wonderful tea for Mother's Day each year. All the Mom's are given flowers. They serve sandwiches, quiche and desert. The ladies love it and it fun for all the families that come for the afternoon.

The girls love to be with Nana. They made a frame for her and put their pictures in the letters to spell GRANDKIDS. They love to help and are so nice to all the residents.

OH MY.... Kianna came out to the car when I called that we were leaving. She climbed in and hooked her car seat by herself. It wasn't until we arrived that I noticed that she did her own make-up before we left.

BROWNIE PARTY... Caeline's Brownie troop had their end of year party today. All 11 girls and their families met at one home. The girls used some of their cookie money and rented a giant water slide.
Caeline had so much fun going up and down the slide.

Kianna was reluctant at first to go up the slide(it was very big)

There was a wonderful lunch and after the girls dried off they had their end of year awards ceremony

Aunt Jodi is one of the leaders.

Kianna quickly caught on to climbing up the ladder and sliding down. Caeline is so good with her and took her up and down so many times. Kianna loved it and kept wanting to go again and again.
The girls would have stayed all afternoon if they could. They had so much fun and did not want it to end.

ROCK CLIMBING WALL... One of our favorite places to go on the weekend is Desert Ridge Marketplace. There are many stores, restaurants. and movie theaters to go to. They have a place to sit and listen to singers. The kids love the fountains. BUT the girls favorite thing to do is the Rock Climbing Wall. Every time we go, Caeline get father up the wall and last evening, she reached the top and rang the bell. She was so excited.
