APS FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS... This evening we went downtown and attended the APS Festival Of Lights. The weather was cool and the girls had so much fun. They had their faces painted, posed for pictures with characters, made cards for the soldiers in Iraq, and went in a Christmas Bounce House. Kianna got to go on her first pony ride and loved brushing the animals in the Petting Zoo. The Mayor lit the Christmas tree in front of City Hall and then the girls saw Santa and decorated cookies.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING.. the weather was beautiful today(we are finally have cooler days). We went and visited my Mom for a while and then came back to our house for dinner. The girls helped prepare a lot of the food this year and even baked the apple pie. As usual we all ate too much and had fun. We have so much to be thankful for.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT...On Friday night the girls school held Family Fun Night. The girls had so much fun running and playing with their friends. They had a giant slide, games, dancing, face painting, a balloon maker (Kianna loved her sword), a chili cook-off (Mariah had so much fun and was mad her team didn't win), and lots of food to eat. The girls ran the entire time and were exhausted by the time we got home.

The weather was beautiful, we are finally having temperatures in the 80's, and the girls had so much fun playing outside all afternoon. They brought their scooters and sand toys. We sat and visited with friends and had a picnic dinner. Kiannna loved playing on the playground and learned to catch a ball. She was so proud of herself.

CHINESE CULTURAL CAMP... FCC held a cultural camp this afternoon. the girls attended with a group of their friends. All the children were separated into groups by age. they rotated between four classes; cooking (they made a vegetable dish with dumplings), inventions (they listed to music and had a lesson in using chopsticks), calligraphy (they wrote their name in Chinese), and dance (they took part in the dragon dance. Mariah and Caeline had a great time and Kianna was a trooper, going from class to class. I think the girls enjoyed learning how to play with Chinese Yoyos the best.
