FEELING BETTER... Kianna is finally feeling better and back to her spirited self. She is always dancing and playing. She went back to the surgeon this week and he said it's "healing". What exactly that means I'm not sure. She can begin baths, but is still banned from swimming. She is so good about letting her sisters go in the pool and just watches.

RECOVERING... The computer hasn't been working all week and I wasn't able to update anyone on Kianna. She spent two days in the hospital. They (finally) decided that she had an infection in her colon and gave her oral antibiotics to take at home. She is feeling better and back to her happy self.

EMERGENCY ROOM... Kianna battled an ear infection and fever earlier this week. Saturday she was in a lot of pain and miserable all day. The doctor had us go to the emergency room at Banner Desert last night and they finally admitted her at 3:00 am. They tried three times to start an IV and finally inserted one in her foot. So far they have determined that she has a bladder infection and both ears are infected. They are running tests to figure out what is wrong. She is on IV antibiotics and is in much better spirits today.

DIAMONDBACKS vs PADRES... We went to a Diamondback game with Keith. The girls had so much fun and were all excited when the Diamondbacks won. Kianna loved her first baseball game.

MORE FUN WITH UNCLE KEITH... The girls are having so much fun with their uncle (while I work). Pizza parties, trips for ice cream, swimming, water gun fights and family barbecues. We all love having him here.

WATER FUN... The girls tossed a few water balloons at Uncle Keith and to get even he got a giant water gun. He got three and they had a ball squirting each other.

CHUCK E. CHEESE... Uncle Keith took the girls to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch. They loved the pizza and played all the games. Uncle Keith even hit the jackpot and won 145 tickets for them. Kianna loved all the rides and shows.

UNCLE KEITH VISITS... My brother Keith returned to Arizona this week. He is helping us complete the sale of Mom's house. The girls are helping, or hiding in closets. We did find time to go to a favorite Mexican restaurant.

4th OF JULY... We celebrated the 4th Of July at a party at Nana's care facility. They had a wonderful BBQ. They sang patriotic songs and the girls danced every chance they could. They had all the children hold flags while they did The Pledge Of Allegiance. Kianna was so proud and looked so happy. They had a Slip And Slide, water balloons and squirt guns for the kids. To quote Mariah "Nana never looked so happy." Nana sang the songs and smiled the whole time. It was a wonderful first 4th Of July for everyone, especially for Kianna.

FIREWORKS... On Sunday, we met friends at a nearby park to watch fireworks. Kianna loved it and didn't want it to end. The girls all played and it was cooler in the evening. We're grateful for any breeze. Kianna is feeling a little better and we are still keeping her as quiet as we can.
