HOME... Kianna was released from the hospital this afternoon. We will be glad to recuperate at home. KIanna is still in a good amount of pain. She is baned from all toys that she straddles and we have to try and keep her activities quiet (she's almost 3 - good luck). We will try anything, we just want this to heal and end soon.

RECOVERING... Kianna didn't have a great day. She is in a lot of pain and had a long night and morning. She finally slept a few hours around 2:00 (so did Mom) and we felt better when we got up. Caeline came to visit tonight and always makes her smile and laugh. I think Caeline likes playing on the hospital bed! We are hoping to go home tomorrow and can't wait.

SURGERY... Kianna's surgery was scheduled for 9:30 this morning. We we told that they were running late and she was finally taken to the operating room at 11:30. We were surprised to see the doctor come out a short time later. Upon examination, he discovered that the fistula had not completely closed. That was the problem we had back in March. The doctor spent the next 90 minutes cleaning the area and sewing it closed in 5 layers. The colostomy was not reversed. Kianna was very uncomfortable this afternoon. Kianna will probably remain in the hospital until Friday.

ADMITTED... Kianna entered the hospital around noon today. She had an IV inserted and blood tests done. She is going through a series of irrigation treatments to prepare her for surgery tomorrow morning. She is happy and smiling and such a different child from the first surgery last February. The nurses have commented on how much more she is talking and curious about what is being done.

WEDNESDAY.. We headed to California Adventure this morning. The girls loved Soarin over California and the Ferris Wheel. We spent a lot of time in It's A Bug's Land and the highlight was the sprinklers spraying water on them. We ate lunch in Ariel's Grotto and the Princess joined them. The girls got to see Ariel. Belle, Snow White, Mulan, and Cinderella. Kianna got so excited each time a new one entered the room. We saw the High School Musical show, the Block Party Parade, Aladdin and the Electrical Parade. Caeline and Mariah even went on The Tower of Terror with Aunt Jodi and Aunt Pam. Kianna's favorite was Monster Inc. She got to see Boo's door! When California Adventure closed I took Kianna back to the hotel, but the girls headed to Disneyland with Aunt Pam to go on more rides!
TUESDAY... We were up early and had early admission into Disneyland. The girls went on so many rides. Mariah and Caeli have no fears and loved Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Indiana Jones. Kianna loved Pirates Of The Caribbean and The Jungle Cruise. She was so excited to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse. A Jazz band performed in New Orleans square and the girls were dancing with the singer. They loved it.We had dinner at Goofy's Kitchen and she loved the character coming up to the table. We stayed for the fireworks and then took Kianna back to the hotel (at 10:30). Mariah and Caeline stayed for more rides with Aunt Pam.
MONDAY... After a fun family weekend we continue on for a few days in Disneyland! Kianna quickly figured out that a vacation was fun. The girls loved taking her on rides. Her first was It's A Small World and she squealed. She loved the characters and shows. She lasted till almost 11:00 and quickly went to sleep.

WHAT A DAY... This has been a crazy, wonderful day. We were off to dance early. Mariah and Caeline danced in 9 numbers and could have kept going. They love to dance and never get tired. Kianna slept through part of the show, but enjoyed what she saw. We had a couple of hours between shows and went for ice cream and played on the playground. Then we went back to the school for the evening performance. They had been told to have messy hair in the Pirates number, but every other performance they had to wear a bun or ponytails right after, so they had to wear a hair piece. Tonight Pirates was the only number they performed in so Mariah went wild. She messed up her hair and really got into the part.
We all went out to dinner at Desert Ridge. After we ate, we walked around. Caeli and Mariah climbed the rock climbing wall. Caeli went up farther than she ever has before. We walked down by the fountains. The girls didn't care that they had their clothes on, they ran through the water. Kianna loved it and ran all over. They were so tired when we got home, but so happy.

DANCE RECITAL.. The last few weeks have been busy getting ready for the girl's annual dance recital. This year was even busier since the girls are in dance company. The entire dance company performed in a Pirates number (He's a Pirate) to open the show. They both are in two ballets dances (Candle On The Water, Once Upon A December, Edelweiss, & Chinese Nutcracker), a tap dance ( In The Mood & Happy Feet) and a Jazz performance (One Way Or Another & Hey Mickey). I was so proud of Mariah and Caeline watching them dance. They are growing each year and becoming wonderful dancers. Kianna enjoyed most of the show, but now has two more performances tomorrow.
